Sultan Bin Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Attends Abu Dhabi International Boat Show To Explore Maritime Innovations
Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently visited the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS) at ADNEC Marina Hall. The event, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, showcases a diverse range of local and international maritime companies. It also features leading manufacturers of boats, yachts, and marine equipment from both regional and global markets.
During his visit, Sheikh Sultan was joined by Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hamdan bin Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC Group, and other senior officials. They toured the exhibition, which is a key platform for advancing the maritime industries sector in the UAE and beyond. He explored the latest innovations presented by various companies and received insights into new projects that bolster Abu Dhabi’s status as a hub for marine activities.
The current edition of ADIBS has expanded significantly, covering over 85,000 square meters—a 14% increase from last year. It hosts 1,068 exhibitors and global brands, marking a 32% rise compared to 2024. Local companies represent 31% of participants while international firms make up 69%. This year sees participation from 56 countries, including seven newcomers to the event.
ADIBS is renowned as a premier event in the maritime industry, gathering national and international experts on one stage. It facilitates knowledge exchange and supports the UAE’s efforts in developing maritime industries linked to the blue economy. The exhibition underscores Abu Dhabi's rapid maritime sector growth and its role in building advanced infrastructure for marine industries.
This year's show highlights extensive participation from local and international firms displaying cutting-edge technologies in boat, yacht, and marine engine manufacturing. It also features water sports equipment and marine leisure activities. The exhibition remains crucial in showcasing Abu Dhabi’s progress in establishing modern marinas, maintenance centres, and sustainable boat development projects.
