Sultan Bin Ahmed Engages With President Of Egypt's State Council To Enhance Judicial Cooperation

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, visited the State Council of Egypt on Monday. He met with Counsellor Osama Youssef Shalaby, President of the State Council, at their headquarters in Dokki, Giza Governorate. The meeting highlighted the strong ties between the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.

The President of the State Council expressed pride in this visit, which underscores the deep fraternal relations between both nations. He commended Sharjah's advancements in its judicial and legal systems. The President also assured full cooperation to strengthen the judicial framework to benefit both parties.

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed praised the Egyptian State Council for its significant contributions to the legal system. He acknowledged its role in establishing justice principles, safeguarding legality, and protecting rights. The Chairman emphasised that collaboration with distinguished institutions enhances judicial efficiency and upholds justice.

The Judicial Council aims to achieve its objectives by engaging with esteemed judicial bodies. These efforts aim to improve judicial work efficiency and reinforce justice principles.

During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed received a presentation on the Egyptian State Council's operations. It detailed its structure and divisions: Judicial, Fatwa, Legislative, and General Secretariat. The presentation also covered the Supreme Administrative Court's formation and competencies.

The briefing included information on specialised chambers handling administrative disputes, disciplinary judiciary matters, and contract and legislation reviews. This insight provided a comprehensive understanding of how the Egyptian State Council functions.

Historical Exploration

On the sidelines of the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed toured Princess Fawqia Palace, where he viewed photographs of past presidents since 1947 and notable figures who served there. His Highness explored a historical collection featuring books on Egypt’s judicial history.

The visit concluded with an exchange of commemorative shields and group photographs with Counsellor Osama Youssef Shalaby as a gesture of recognition for this occasion.
