Sharjah Events Festival Fifth Edition Inaugurated By Sultan Bin Ahmed At Al Majaz

The fifth Sharjah Events Festival is welcoming visitors at Al Majaz Amphitheatre from 21 to 24 December. The event, held under the slogan "Shining with Events," brings together cultural, sporting, educational, and entertainment activities designed for residents and visitors across Sharjah.

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, inaugurated the festival. The opening ceremony also brought together Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sheikh Salem bin Mohammed bin Salem Al Qasimi, senior officials, and large numbers of festival attendees.

During the opening evening, H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi toured the site and its pavilions. The Deputy Ruler met exhibitors, watched artistic shows, and observed interactive zones that target children, families, and young people through creative and educational experiences.

Government and private entities from across the emirate presented their programmes at the Sharjah Events Festival. Representatives briefed H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi on activities aimed at different age groups, explaining how each initiative supports learning, community participation, and accessible leisure options for residents and visitors.

The tour covered pavilions of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, the Department of Suburbs Affairs, the Sharjah Marine Sports Club, the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, and the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq). These stands offered workshops, competitions, heritage content, food outlets, and live entertainment within dedicated festival spaces.

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi reviewed the Sharjah Events Agenda for 2026 during the visit. The agenda outlines a broad schedule of events that will take place across Sharjah’s cities and regions, reinforcing the festival’s role as an annual platform that highlights innovation, meaningful entertainment, and ongoing community engagement.
