Sultan Bin Ahmed Launches The Fourth Edition Of The Sharjah Events Festival With Diverse Activities
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, opened the fourth Sharjah Events Festival. The festival, themed "It Shines with its Festivities," is organised by the Sharjah Events website in partnership with the Sharjah Government Media Bureau. It takes place at Al Majaz Amphitheatre from December 12 to 15.
During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Sultan explored an interactive dome designed to reflect natural surroundings. Inside, he watched a visual presentation outlining Sharjah's 2025 event agenda. These events will involve various government and private organisations. The festival features 52 events and activities, including competitions, games, and performances.
The festival offers a wide range of activities for both children and adults. H.H. Sheikh Sultan toured pavilions that provided engaging experiences filled with adventure and excitement. Activities include forest adventures that simulate nature over four days. Visitors can enjoy land paddling competitions, treasure hunts, puppet shows, balloon displays, and more.
The festival stage hosts diverse performances throughout the day. There are funfairs and live theatrical shows in different areas tailored to match the activities presented. A food corner with various restaurants enhances the experience for attendees.
The opening ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including Sheikh Salem bin Mohammed bin Salem Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority; Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau; Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansoori, Secretary General of the Sharjah Media Council; Ali Ahmed Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Private Education Authority; Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority; and Alia Bu Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of the SGMB.
The festival showcases a blend of entertainment and education through its interactive games and challenges like balance chair contests. These activities aim to provide a complete experience for visitors by combining enjoyment with learning opportunities.
The event highlights how government and private institutions in Sharjah collaborate to offer diverse activities aimed at all age groups. This collaboration ensures that both children and adults have access to thrilling experiences during the festival's duration.
