Sultan Bin Ahmed Leads First Meeting Of Sharjah's Judicial Council To Enhance Judiciary Operations
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, led the council's first meeting on Saturday morning at the Ruler’s Office in Sharjah. He began by welcoming council members and expressing gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi for his trust and guidance.
The meeting highlighted the council's dedication to implementing directives from the Ruler to manage and organise Sharjah's judiciary effectively. Ensuring judicial independence, integrity, and equality were key priorities discussed during this session.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed praised the contributions of council members, acknowledging their vital roles and responsibilities. He emphasised that the council's initiatives would focus on protecting and enhancing the judiciary through technological innovations, ensuring efficient and transparent services for clients.
Training and improving human resources were identified as critical needs to strengthen Sharjah's judicial system. The importance of increasing Emiratisation rates was also underscored to achieve set goals, maintaining the local judiciary’s reputation.
The council deliberated on several significant judicial matters, including proposed legislation for judiciary regulation in Sharjah. They discussed an action plan for the transitional phase and collaboration strategies with the Ministry of Justice and federal entities.
A decision was made to form a special committee comprising some council members and representatives from relevant government entities in Sharjah. This committee aims to ensure a smooth transition without disrupting judicial services in the emirate.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to uphold judicial excellence in Sharjah while embracing modernisation efforts. The council aims to maintain high standards through strategic planning and collaboration with various stakeholders.
