Sultan Bin Ahmed Celebrates Achievements At UOS Fall 2024 Female Graduation Ceremony
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UOS), attended the graduation ceremony for 681 female students on Sunday. These students received their bachelor's degrees from various colleges at UOS. The event began with the UAE national anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran.
Dr. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University, expressed gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for his support and presence at the ceremony. He extended congratulations to the graduates and their families for their dedication throughout the academic journey. The Chancellor highlighted the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The Chancellor stated, "We celebrate the graduation of a distinguished group of our daughters, armed with knowledge, science and noble values, who are preparing to join the labour market at the highest levels of excellence and proficiency." He attributed this success to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, which has elevated UOS to a prestigious status locally and internationally.
Graduate Sheikha Al Ketbi from the College of Communication delivered a speech on behalf of her peers. She expressed gratitude to His Highness for establishing UOS as a leading institution in higher education. She acknowledged H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi's continuous support that has made UOS a beacon in scientific education.
Sheikha Al Ketbi shared her pride in graduating from an institution where knowledge thrives and ambitions grow. She remarked that UOS provides an environment fostering creativity and excellence across various fields. She thanked university professors for their guidance and parents for their unwavering support.
The Chancellor urged graduates to remain patient, determined, and dedicated in their pursuit of knowledge. He emphasized family involvement in education and acknowledged parents' sacrifices in supporting their children's educational journeys.
Ceremony Highlights
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi presented certificates to graduates from diverse programs including Business Administration, Communication, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Computing and Informatics, Public Policy, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Sciences, Fine Arts and Design, Law, and Engineering.
He congratulated them on their achievements and wished them success in future careers. Additionally, he presented a certificate of appreciation to the family of student Huda Sultan who passed away before graduating but had completed her studies at UOS.
The ceremony concluded with encouragement for graduates to be exemplary ambassadors for UOS by overcoming challenges through scientific communication.
