Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi Engages With Innovations At The 14th International Government Communication Forum
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, visited the 14th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) at Expo Centre Sharjah. Organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, the event focused on "Communication for Quality of Life." The forum highlighted trends and innovations in government communication.
During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed explored various pavilions and activities. He attended 22 workshops and interactive sessions that showcased innovative approaches to government communication. These sessions addressed global challenges like food security, public health, education, environmental sustainability, and the green economy.
The forum welcomed over 237 international speakers who participated in 51 dialogue sessions. The programme included more than 110 events across 22 platforms. Seven keynote speeches and 22 specialised workshops featured experts from government bodies, international organisations, universities, and tech firms.
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed engaged with representatives from media, government, and private sector pavilions. He gained insights into their initiatives aimed at enhancing governance and transparency globally. Exhibitors presented seminars and workshops using advanced communication tools to boost public engagement.
The IGCF served as a hub for strategic communication and policy influence. It promoted collaborative innovation for a sustainable future through its comprehensive programme. The event underscored the importance of effective communication in driving societal change.
Accompanying H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed were senior officials like Tariq Saeed Allay, Director-General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau; Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Media Council; and Alya Bu Ganem Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau. They ensured thorough engagement with the forum’s offerings.
The forum's focus on strategic communication demonstrated its potential to impact communities positively. By addressing pressing issues through innovative models, it highlighted how communication can foster meaningful societal change.
