Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation Launches Arabic Language Program To Enhance Education In Central Asia
The Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation, in collaboration with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), is set to launch a new initiative aimed at promoting Arabic language education in Central Asia. This program will run from September to December 2025 and underscores the foundation's dedication to spreading the Arabic language globally while strengthening ties between Central Asian countries and Arab-Islamic culture.
A key component of this initiative is the training of educators. The program aims to enhance teaching methods by developing curricula and training packages that incorporate modern educational techniques. It also plans to introduce an "Arabic Language Curriculum for Non-Native Speakers," which has been funded by the foundation, into educational institutions across the participating countries.

The program will be implemented in six Central Asian nations: Bashkortostan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. It aims to train over 200 Arabic language teachers, with approximately 35 participants from various educational institutions in each country. This effort is expected to significantly improve the teachers' ability to teach Arabic effectively.
Promoting Cultural Cooperation
Beyond linguistic training, the initiative seeks to foster cultural cooperation between participants and ICESCO experts. By providing an environment conducive to developing linguistic and communication skills, the program encourages the practice of formal Arabic and strengthens cultural ties among nations involved.
The foundation views this program as a strategic move towards elevating the status of the Arabic language in Central Asia. It also supports its global promotion as a cultural bridge that enhances international connections.
