Sudanese Culture Week Showcases Rich Heritage As Part Of Global Harmony 2 Initiative
The Ministry of Media initiated the Sudanese Culture Week on Sunday, as part of the "Global Harmony 2" initiative. This event is organised in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority and the Quality of Life Program. It is held at Al-Suwaidi Park, a venue for Riyadh Season, and is one of several cultural activities featuring 14 global cultures.
The opening ceremony included a parade that highlighted Sudanese culture. Traditional music performances featured instruments like the Dalooka and Rababa, alongside scenes from a Sudanese bridal procession. This created a captivating heritage display that engaged many visitors.

Sudanese Culture Week offers a varied program with musical concerts, entertainment segments, and cultural pavilions. These events feature Sudanese singers and influencers who present activities showcasing the cultural diversity of Sudan’s regions and communities.
The first day saw musical concerts on stage, drawing thousands of attendees. Visitors enjoyed Rababa performances by traditional artists and popular social occasion songs from Sudan performed by various artists.
On Monday, the events will continue with an array of cultural and musical performances. There will also be showcases of traditional Sudanese attire and displays of prominent products and handicrafts, highlighting Sudan’s rich heritage and cultural diversity.
This week marks the conclusion of cultural events under the Global Harmony 2 initiative. The program has successfully promoted cultural exchange by showcasing cultures from communities residing in Saudi Arabia. It reflects the Kingdom's values of coexistence and cultural openness.
