Students Road Test AIREV’s ON DEMAND Platform At NYUAD AI Plugin And Product Development Hackathon
Students at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) recently had the unique opportunity to dive deep into the world of artificial intelligence (AI) application development, thanks to a collaborative hackathon with AIREV, a UAE-based AI innovator. The event, which spanned two days, was designed to showcase the capabilities of ON DEMAND, a large language model (LLM) operating system developed by AIREV and supported by Core 42. This platform is celebrated for its ability to drastically reduce the development time of complex applications from months to mere days.
The hackathon presented students with a challenge: to either create AI plugins or develop complete products using ON DEMAND's APIs, plugins, and robust computing resources. The focus extended beyond plugin creation, encouraging the development of intelligent agents that could be integrated into broader applications seamlessly. ON DEMAND's platform is acclaimed for its speed, efficiency, and extensive customization and integration capabilities, all of which were crucial for participants during the hackathon.

Access to NYUAD’s computing facilities was granted to participants, enabling them to test and refine their projects effectively. The final presentations and project submissions underscored the creativity and technical prowess of the students, demonstrating the practical impacts of AI integration into real-world scenarios. This collaboration between AIREV and NYUAD not only highlighted the potential of advanced AI tools in education and industry but also aligned with AIREV’s goal of driving technological advancement and innovation.
Muhammed Khalid, CEO and Founder of AIREV, expressed gratitude towards NYU Abu Dhabi and the UAE's leadership for their support in making the hackathon a success. He emphasized the event's role in advancing AI within the UAE and its contribution towards positioning the nation as a global leader in AI innovation. "By nurturing local talent and developing advanced AI solutions, we aim to significantly contribute to the UAE's economy," Khalid stated.
Dr. Andrew Jackson, Chief AI Officer of Core42, remarked on the readiness of ON DEMAND to democratize AI application development and its potential roadmap. He praised the NYU participants for their strong AI use cases with commercial potential and highlighted the rapid progression from idea to MVP stage within 24 hours.
Malak Mansour, a Computer Science Student at NYUAD, shared her perspective on ON DEMAND as a transformative tool for developers, businesses, and government entities. She praised its ability to offer a wide set of expert agents in plugin form and the freedom it provides users to create custom plugins.
AIREV has emerged from its development of School Hack, an AI-powered EdTech platform that has evolved into an educational social network with over 2 million users responding to more than 62 million queries. As a certified partner with industry leaders like Microsoft, Nvidia, and AWS, AIREV is leveraging its educational success to revolutionize industries such as healthcare, law, and finance with advanced AI solutions.
