STC Group Elevates Hajj Experience With Enhanced Digital Services And Technologies

The stc Group has bolstered its readiness to serve millions of pilgrims during the Hajj season by offering a comprehensive range of digital solutions and services. These innovations ensure high-quality service, facilitating the smooth performance of rituals. The digital solutions provided by stc Group are crucial for keeping up with modern developments and achieving sustainable growth in serving the guests of Allah.

stc Group aims to enhance the pilgrims' experience by developing new products and adopting communication technologies that meet global standards. This ensures a seamless digital experience. With a focus on improving services, stc has organized a plan to study call and data traffic during Ramadan. The plan involves analyzing performance indicators to activate and deliver telephone and data services before and during Hajj.

STC Boosts Hajj with Digital Tech

The plan includes network element status checks, implementing preventive maintenance tasks, conducting necessary tests to verify operational status, analyzing telephone traffic paths and data flow, and developing appropriate precautionary plans. To enhance the spiritual experience of visitors to the Holy Kaaba, stc has increased the number of services provided.

The group has strengthened its network by installing over 1,200 sites supporting 5G technology, over 1,900 Wi-Fi access points, and more than 3,000 sites for internal solutions. These services aim to facilitate communication between pilgrims and their families. Additionally, over 300 indoor networks have been established to support data services for pilgrims, and international call traffic capacity has increased by 100%.

stc has dedicated an independent team comprising over 1,000 technicians from various specialities to work in the field and control centres. This team is supported by more than 470 fully-equipped emergency vehicles fitted with advanced equipment. The group has also established over 85 monitoring and maintenance centres distributed in the holy sites.

stc has adopted a plan for redeploying mobile sites in line with pilgrim movements and peak hours. Over 200 cars and motorcycles have been provided for swift response to incidents, alongside more than 70 mobile communication vehicles to ensure optimal coverage and call quality. To ensure high-quality service for pilgrims, stc has implemented advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and data analysis.

Network monitoring systems have been equipped with automatic notification features in case of service disruptions. These systems also have the ability to open tickets automatically and provide real-time monitoring of network performance and its components. These integrated efforts aim to enhance the quality of communication and internet services provided to pilgrims.

These initiatives align with the Pilgrim Experience Program within Saudi Vision 2030. They aim to enrich the pilgrims' experience and ensure their comfort during rituals.
