STC Boosts Digital Connectivity For Holy Mosques Ahead Of Ramadan

The stc Group has recently announced the completion of its operational preparations for the upcoming holy Ramadan season of 1445 AH. This initiative is part of the group's commitment to delivering top-tier digital services and solutions to visitors at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. This effort is in line with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's broader goal to provide superior services to its guests during this sacred time.

In preparation for Ramadan, stc has conducted thorough inspections across all network elements and operating systems. The aim is to guarantee the readiness and quality of data transmission and voice calls. The company has also ensured that professional human resources are on hand, especially during the last 10 days of Ramadan, which are known for their peak times. These professionals are tasked with monitoring network performance and executing corrective operations 24/7.

Furthermore, stc has ramped up its daily monitoring of core cable routes. It has also ensured that emergency systems and equipment, which operate according to internationally recognized emergency plans, are readily available. These measures are intended to ensure optimal network performance, service continuity, and reliability throughout the holy month.

For this year's Ramadan season, stc Group is focused on enhancing the experience for guests visiting Makkah and Madinah. The company has undertaken over 997 updates across all its towers to boost the efficiency of 4G and 5G networks. These updates are designed to support a higher number of clients, including those from international operators. By expanding and adding new bands to the 5G network—such as N77, N78, N40, and N28—stc aims to increase network speed and improve overall user experience. Additionally, the efficiency of the 4G network has been improved through an extra network on the L900 frequency band.

Efforts have also been made to enhance network performance in hotels and hospitals, reflecting the Kingdom's digital advancement and commitment to providing exceptional services to visitors of the holy mosques. stc Group continues its work to ensure that the digital infrastructure at the Grand Mosque and its surrounding areas is fully prepared to serve millions of Umrah performers.

The group is also preparing all sites in Makkah to accommodate Umrah performers, worshippers, visitors, and those visiting the Grand Mosque. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of digital services provided, ensuring that visitors have a seamless and enriching experience during their stay.

This comprehensive preparation by stc Group underscores Saudi Arabia's dedication to embracing digital transformation and providing state-of-the-art services to all visitors during one of the most significant seasons in the Islamic calendar. With these efforts, stc Group aims not only to meet but exceed the expectations of guests visiting these sacred sites during Ramadan.
