SSEF Promotes Neighbours Of The Prophet Waqf Project To Empower Orphans In Sharjah

The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) has been actively promoting its waqf project, "Neighbours of the Prophet," through visits to various government bodies in Sharjah. This initiative aims to support orphans and ensure a lasting charitable impact. The foundation seeks to foster community partnerships by highlighting the project's goals and its role in reviving the waqf tradition.

During these visits, SSEF representatives engaged with officials and staff, presenting the project's objectives and its contribution to broader empowerment programmes. Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director-General of SSEF, expressed satisfaction with the positive reception from entities that embraced the project. She stated, "We are pleased with the positive response from the entities that welcomed the project ‘Neighbours of the Prophet’. We believe such engagement reflects the collective commitment needed to build strategic partnerships supporting our social mission. This project is more than just a charitable endowment; it is an extension of prophetic values in caring for fatherless children."

Eng. Omar Khalfan Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs, praised the initiative, emphasising its alignment with Sharjah's sustainable charity aspirations. He noted that this developmental waqf vision supports vulnerable groups effectively. Sheikh Engineer Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qasimi also expressed appreciation for the project and reiterated ongoing support for SSEF’s mission towards orphans.

The "Neighbours of the Prophet" project is inspired by a saying of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), which highlights closeness to him through sponsoring orphans. The initiative aims to provide sustainable support sources for beneficiaries in Sharjah, ensuring they receive care and empowerment.

Hessa Abdullah Al Hammadi from the Sharjah Media Council affirmed their commitment to hosting projects with sustainable impacts like this one. She highlighted how it embodies solidarity values and represents a high humanitarian vision in empowering orphans. Hamad Sultan Al Owais from Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey echoed similar sentiments about supporting community initiatives that promote compassion among society members.

This waqf project is part of a larger promotional campaign aimed at introducing it to individuals and organisations within the community. By inviting contributions, SSEF hopes to empower young people and shape their futures positively.

The SSEF's efforts reflect a dedication to building strategic partnerships that align with their social mission. Through these collaborations, they aim to provide dignified lives and equal opportunities for their beneficiaries while extending prophetic values in caring for fatherless children.
