Saudi Red Crescent Authority Executes Air Medical Evacuation In Arafat For Hajj Season 1446 AH
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) recently conducted an air medical evacuation in Arafat for an emergency case. This initiative is part of their efforts to boost preparedness during the Hajj season 1446 AH, in collaboration with health authorities. The operation began after receiving an emergency alert through the central operations room.
Upon receiving the report, both ground and air ambulance teams were dispatched promptly to manage the situation on-site following established procedures. The patient was then transported by a medical evacuation plane to a designated hospital. Coordination with the hospital's medical team ensured a smooth reception, with all necessary details shared beforehand.

The SRCA is committed to serving pilgrims by utilising all available human and technical resources. Ground and air ambulance teams are stationed near pilgrims, ready to provide urgent care when needed. This reflects the Kingdom's dedication to assisting pilgrims effectively and efficiently.
The swift response is part of a comprehensive plan that emphasises quick reporting, precise guidance, and effective coordination among ambulance teams. This approach highlights the authority's readiness and the training of its personnel to manage emergencies at holy sites, ensuring high-quality ambulance services for pilgrims.
The air ambulance service, activated during Hajj season 1446 AH by SRCA, is crucial for health emergencies. It operates 11 aircraft across 13 strategic landing strips in Makkah and other holy sites. Over 120 qualified personnel supervise these operations around the clock.
This service underscores SRCA's commitment to providing timely medical assistance during Hajj. By maintaining constant readiness and efficient coordination, they ensure that pilgrims receive necessary care promptly, reflecting Saudi Arabia's values in serving visitors during this significant religious event.
