Sports Events Boost Al-Namas' Appeal As A Summer Tourism Destination In 2025
Al-Namas Governorate has emerged as a prominent summer destination for 2025, hosting numerous sports and entertainment events under the Aseer Summer Program "Cooler and Closer." These activities have attracted visitors from both local and international regions. Organised by Al-Namas Municipality with oversight from Aseer Region Municipality, the events received support from various government bodies.
A five-day beach volleyball tournament was a highlight, held in collaboration with the Aseer branch of the Ministry of Sport. The competition featured six teams from different governorates within the region. Additionally, Al-Namas is hosting its second Padel tournament on King Salman Road. This four-day event starts on Thursday and offers valuable prizes, enhancing the sports scene in the area.

The governorate also hosted "Al-Hisn 2," a local adaptation of Takeshi's Castle. This event spanned 14 days, offering challenges and excitement for participants of all ages. According to Al-Namas Municipality, it drew an average of 350 visitors daily, with 3,920 participants competing across six stages to reach the castle's summit.
These events have significantly diversified entertainment options in Al-Namas. By combining thrilling sports competitions with engaging recreational activities, they have boosted tourism in the governorate. The initiatives reflect Al-Namas' rich tourism and natural resources, reinforcing its place on Saudi Arabia's tourism map.
