Sports Boulevard Showcases Urban Development Opportunities At MIPIM 2025 In Cannes

The Sports Boulevard Foundation is set to participate in MIPIM 2025, a premier real estate investment event in Cannes, France, from March 11 to 14. As part of the 'Invest Saudi' delegation, the foundation will highlight investment prospects and urban development insights, showcasing Riyadh's transformation into a global centre for sports, wellness, and sustainable living.

Sports Boulevard is a key project in Riyadh's urban regeneration efforts. It aims to become the world's largest linear park, stretching over 135 km across the city. This initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 by integrating advanced sports infrastructure and sustainable mobility solutions to enhance quality of life and diversify the economy.

By December 2024, significant investments have been secured for Sports Boulevard. A real estate investment fund valued at approximately $1.47 billion (SAR5.5 billion) has been established to boost private-sector involvement. The project offers over four million square meters of gross floor area for private-sector participation, including residential units, commercial spaces, and sports venues.

The first phase of Sports Boulevard opened in February 2025 along an 83 km stretch. This milestone underscores the foundation's dedication to innovative urban development. At MIPIM, the foundation will engage with global investors and developers to present prime opportunities across various sectors.

CEO Jayne McGivern stated: "Sports Boulevard is more than an urban development; it’s a movement towards a healthier, more sustainable future. We are showcasing Riyadh as a global model for active living, where sports, wellness, and urban infrastructure converge to foster a thriving community." The project features world-class sports facilities and green mobility networks.

With over 4.4 million square meters of green spaces and 220 km of cycling paths, Sports Boulevard redefines urban livability in Riyadh. It includes an extensive pedestrian network spanning 135 km and dedicated horse-riding trails covering 15 km. More than 50 multidisciplinary sports facilities are also part of this transformative project.

A Vision for Sustainable Living

The initiative was launched by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and is chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. It aims to improve residents' quality of life through integrated infrastructure that includes pedestrian pathways, cycling routes, horse-riding trails, and top-tier sports facilities.

Sports Boulevard unlocks significant investment opportunities for both local and international investors across core asset classes like real estate and infrastructure. The project's strategic space is designed to attract global investors eager to contribute to Riyadh's transformation into a hub for active living.
