SPEA Celebrates Significant Achievements During Second Strategic Cycle For Private Education
The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) recently celebrated the achievements of its second strategic cycle (2022-2024). The event was attended by key figures such as Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairperson of the SPEA, and Ali Al Hosani, Director General. This gathering highlighted significant progress in Sharjah's private education sector.
Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi expressed her pride in the advancements made, noting an 80% increase in performance levels and the role of international partnerships in enhancing educational services. She also thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi for his unwavering support for education.

The ceremony reviewed eight strategic indicators set by the SPEA to be achieved by 2024. These indicators showed substantial progress across various educational areas. The quality of life for the educational community improved significantly, with 83% of standards met.
Educational institutions saw an 80% increase in performance, while 100% of the workforce was trained to meet future demands. Investments in private education rose by 33%, and confidence in educational services increased by 93%. Digital transformation efforts were evident, with all digital services provided proactively.
The ceremony honoured projects that positively impacted students, teachers, and parents. The SPEA reiterated its commitment to achieving even greater success in the upcoming third strategic cycle. Key performance indicators remain a priority for continued development.
The strategy for 2022-2024 was developed with input from 25 government and educational leaders, 11 experts, and five international institutions. It draws from over 25 global reports on education's future, focusing on artificial intelligence and digital transformation to align education outcomes with labour market needs.
Innovative Initiatives and Strategic Enablers
The strategy includes 24 innovative initiatives supported by four strategic enablers: governance and sustainability, data optimisation, digital transformation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Eight performance indicators were set with clear growth targets to ensure ongoing development in Sharjah's private education sector.
International test results improved by 37%, reflecting enhanced educational standards aligned with global benchmarks. This achievement underscores the SPEA's commitment to raising educational quality through strategic planning and execution.
