Space42 Collaborates With Four Startups To Advance AI-Driven Geospatial Intelligence Through GIQ

Space42, a UAE-based company specialising in AI-driven SpaceTech, has entered into Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with four startups: xMap, FortyGuard, AIRMO, and AlphaGEO. These agreements aim to incorporate their AI technologies into Space42's geospatial intelligence platform, GIQ. This collaboration enhances GIQ's ability to provide actionable insights for urban planning, climate resilience, and environmental management.

The partnerships are built on the foundation of GIQ's launch on Microsoft Azure. This provides secure and scalable access for governments, enterprises, and researchers. By collaborating with emerging innovators, Space42 is broadening GIQ’s reach and accelerating the delivery of data-driven insights.

Space42 Partners with Startups for Geospatial Innovation

These MoUs reinforce Space42’s dedication to creating an open and scalable geospatial network. By integrating complementary tools with GIQ’s AI environment and satellite resources, the MoUs encourage knowledge exchange. They also speed up the development of advanced applications addressing global challenges.

Hasan Al Hosani, CEO of Smart Solutions at Space42, stated: "Partnerships are central to Space42’s and the UAE’s DNA. By uniting innovators who expand the impact of geospatial intelligence, we make insights from space more accessible to communities and economies on Earth. This spirit of shared progress reflects the UAE’s vision for a knowledge-based economy, fostering research, technology adoption, and entrepreneurship."

The collaborations focus on three key areas to create a more integrated network: platform integration and co-innovation; joint project delivery and customer solutions; and knowledge and capability exchange. These areas aim to enhance accessibility and platform capabilities while advancing the UAE's position in space-enabled innovation.

xMap contributes by offering real-time environmental analytics through its generative AI platform for smart city planning. FortyGuard provides urban heat mapping driven by AI to aid sustainable infrastructure development. AIRMO focuses on climate monitoring and predictive modeling for emissions tracking. AlphaGEO brings advanced visualization and data fusion capabilities for environmental intelligence.

Strengthening UAE's Innovation Ecosystem

Together, these startups enhance GIQ’s capabilities, supporting Space42’s strategy to become a global leader in geospatial intelligence and AI services. Developed in partnership with the UAE Space Agency, GIQ anchors the UAE Space Data Centre. It contributes to national goals for digital transformation and knowledge-based growth.

GIQ utilises over 10 data providers alongside 8 proprietary AI models to deliver rapid insights across various domains such as climate risk assessment and energy management. This enables swift analysis within minutes.

By fostering a network of innovators, Space42 aids the UAE’s diversification agenda by reducing reliance on oil. It promotes technology-driven sectors while enabling entrepreneurship in high-value industries.
