SOUL Launches As A New Incubator For Global Entrepreneurs In The UAE
SOUL, known as Startup One UAQ Launchpad, has been introduced as a specialised incubator for tech entrepreneurs in the UAE. Located in the Umm Al Qaiwain Free Trade Zone (UAQ FTZ), SOUL aims to drive innovation and support startups with high growth potential, both locally and globally. The launch event was graced by Sheikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chairman of UAQ FTZ, and Sheikh Mansoor Bin Ibrahim Al Mu'alla, Director of Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation.
SOUL is committed to empowering entrepreneurs from both local and international backgrounds. It offers essential support to startups in impactful sectors like AI, Blockchain, Fintech, EdTech, PropTech, Reg-Tech, and Robotics. The initiative's mission is to nurture talent and enable businesses to establish and expand within the UAE and the GCC region.

As a complete support platform for new businesses, SOUL provides a wide range of services designed to help startups thrive. These include incubation services, expert guidance from seasoned mentors, market access opportunities, MVP validation, and potential funding channels. SOUL is structured to assist startups aiming for growth within the UAE and the broader GCC area.
"SOUL’s objective is to create an innovation hub that nurtures startups in their journey to becoming key players in the UAE and GCC markets," stated Johnson M. George, General Manager of UAQ FTZ. "Our programmes are structured to provide startups with the resources and guidance they need to navigate challenges, validate their models, and accelerate growth."
Beyond offering workspace and mentorship, SOUL facilitates direct connections between entrepreneurs and investors while providing access to promising markets. The incubator's structured programs include workshops, networking events, and pitch days that promote a collaborative environment where startups can refine their products and scale their operations.
Dr. Hisham Safadi, founder of UDENZ and a mentor at SOUL, commended the incubator’s distinctive approach. "SOUL is different from other incubation programs because it offers targeted support to startups that already have an MVP or are seeking to validate their business models. This level of mentorship is invaluable for startups looking to scale quickly."
The initiative is designed not only as a workspace but also as a nurturing ground where emerging businesses can grow into significant market players. By providing critical resources such as mentorship and market access opportunities, SOUL aims to foster an ecosystem conducive to startup success across various high-impact sectors.
