SkyGrid And High Lander Join Forces To Advance Air Mobility Ecosystems In The UAE

SkyGrid and High Lander have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the 2025 Dubai Airshow in the UAE. This partnership aims to create an advanced airspace management system for integrating crewed and uncrewed aerial vehicles, including cargo drones and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The collaboration focuses on developing a safe and efficient ecosystem for these technologies.

The agreement involves assessing Advanced Air Mobility Supporting Operational Environments. Key areas include airspace integration, digital operations, vertiport integration, cybersecurity, and regulatory frameworks. The aim is to establish technology roadmaps, regulatory frameworks, and infrastructure plans for AAM operations in Abu Dhabi and beyond.

Jia Xu, CEO of SkyGrid, highlighted the importance of this collaboration. "This collaboration represents a significant milestone in shaping the digital foundation of Advanced Air Mobility in the UAE and across the Middle East," he stated. "Together with High Lander, we’re bringing the world closer to a unified vision of safe, scalable, and sustainable airspace integration."

The initiative supports Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030 by promoting technological innovation, economic diversification, and sustainability. This vision aligns with the broader goals of enhancing advanced air mobility in the region through strategic partnerships.

Alon Absolon, CEO of High Lander, expressed optimism about their shared objectives. "Our shared goal is to create a harmonised operational environment where uncrewed and crewed aircraft can coexist safely and efficiently," he said. He also noted that the UAE's leadership provides an ideal setting for demonstrating how automation and data-driven management can transform air mobility.

The collaboration between SkyGrid and High Lander marks a crucial step towards achieving seamless integration of various aerial technologies. By focusing on essential areas like cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks, they aim to ensure safe operations within the evolving landscape of air mobility in Abu Dhabi and beyond.
