Shura Council Leader Engages In Key Talks With Jordan's Parliamentary Head
In a significant move to bolster parliamentary cooperation, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the Speaker of the Shura Council, embarked on an official visit to Jordan today. This visit comes as a response to an invitation from Ahmed Safadi, the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives. The primary agenda of their meeting was to explore avenues for enhancing parliamentary ties and bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
During their discussions, both speakers delved into various topics of mutual interest, aiming to open new horizons for cooperation. Dr. Al Al-Sheikh expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality provided by Jordan. He emphasized the importance of translating the strong relations between the two nations into concrete actions that would fortify their bonds of cooperation and coordination.

The discussions also highlighted the role of parliamentary friendship committees and mutual official visits in achieving the desired outcomes that align with the interests and aspirations of both countries' leaderships. Dr. Al Al-Sheikh pointed out that these efforts are in line with the continuous directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On his part, Safadi welcomed Dr. Al Al-Sheikh and his delegation, expressing Jordan's appreciation for Saudi Arabia's supportive stance towards Jordan on various regional and international platforms. The visit underscores a mutual commitment to strengthening diplomatic and parliamentary relations, reflecting positively on both nations' aspirations for development and prosperity.
