Shura Council Approves Multiple International Agreements During 16th Ordinary Session
The Shura Council gathered for its sixteenth regular session of the first year of the ninth session, led by Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh. During this meeting, the council examined the agenda and took necessary actions. The agenda featured several reports from specialised committees concerning draft agreements and memoranda of understanding.
The council approved a draft agreement between Saudi Arabia and Kosovo regarding air transport services. Similarly, an agreement with Suriname in the same field received approval. These agreements aim to enhance cooperation in air transport services between Saudi Arabia and these nations.

A memorandum of understanding was approved between Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Economy and Planning and the Union of the Comoros' Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment. This memorandum focuses on fostering economic cooperation between the two countries, aiming to strengthen their economic ties.
Taxation Agreement with Iceland
The council also endorsed a draft agreement with Iceland to avoid double taxation and prevent fiscal evasion related to income taxes. This agreement is intended to facilitate smoother financial interactions between Saudi Arabia and Iceland by addressing tax-related issues.
Traditional Arts Collaboration
In addition, a memorandum of understanding was approved between the Saudi Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (TRITA) and Morocco's Academy of Traditional Arts under the Hassan II Mosque Foundation in Casablanca. This collaboration seeks to promote traditional arts through shared expertise and resources.
The session concluded with all proposed agreements receiving approval, reflecting Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening international partnerships across various sectors.
