Shura Council Reviews Draft Bylaws, Approves International MOUs In 23rd Session

The Shura Council of Saudi Arabia convened for its 23rd ordinary session under the leadership of Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, focusing on key legislative and international cooperation matters. Environmental protection was another key focus area, with an MOU approved between the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of Saudi Arabia and the Tunisian Ministry of Environment. This agreement underscores both countries' commitment to environmental sustainability and protection.

A landmark decision made during the session was Saudi Arabia's approval to join the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands. This international treaty embodies the Kingdom's dedication to conserving wetlands as a resource vital for ecological health, biodiversity, and human well-being.
