Sheraa And National Agriculture Centre Collaborate To Launch AgriBoost For AgriTech Startups In UAE
The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa) has partnered with the National Agriculture Centre to introduce AgriBoost. This initiative aligns with the UAE's national campaign, "The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World," led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. AgriBoost aims to empower startups with cutting-edge agricultural technology solutions, enhancing the UAE's reputation as a global entrepreneurship hub.
AgriBoost is a six-week programme designed to support early-stage AgriTech startups in the UAE. It focuses on providing these ventures with tools and support to enhance market competitiveness and develop innovative business models. The programme targets pre-seed and seed stage startups, helping them address key agricultural challenges in the region.

Applications for AgriBoost will be open from mid-January to the end of February 2026. This period allows AgriTech startups to register and participate in various phases of the programme. After evaluation and selection, intensive training begins in March, featuring workshops on Agile Methodology, followed by an incubation phase in April.
The incubation phase includes mentorship sessions and opportunities for strategic partnerships within the agricultural sector. These activities aim to enhance startups' readiness for growth and foster innovative solutions tailored to local market needs. Interested startups can register through the provided link.
Participants will have a chance to present their projects during the 'UAE Agriculture Conference and Exhibition'. This event serves as a platform for connecting with investors, experts, and decision-makers nationwide, offering valuable exposure for emerging entrepreneurs in modern agriculture.
Sara Abdelaziz Al Nuaimi, CEO of Sheraa, stated, "The agricultural sector is one of the pillars of economic and social stability, and it has become increasingly vital in light of the pressing need for innovative solutions to strengthen food security." She emphasised that AgriBoost aims to transform ideas into impactful business models that drive real change.
Strengthening Food Security
Sultan Salem Al Shamsi, Director of the National Agriculture Centre, highlighted that innovation in agricultural technology is crucial for strengthening food security and sustainable resource use. He noted that empowering the sector with modern solutions can significantly boost local food production while fostering resilient agricultural practices.
The programme provides startups with opportunities to develop solutions that enhance food security and accelerate agricultural development in the UAE. It also facilitates collaboration networks that improve local market presence and open pathways for sustainable growth.
