Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Honoured As 'Distinguished Educational Personality' In 17th Khalifa Award
The General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education recently unveiled the winners of its seventeenth session, showcasing a diverse group of individuals and institutions that have made significant contributions to the educational sector. This prestigious event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, celebrates excellence in education within the UAE, the Arab region, and at an international level.
Among the notable awardees, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak stood out, receiving the Distinguished Educational Personality Award for her extensive contributions to education. Sheikha Fatima is well-known for her role as President of the General Women’s Union and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation. Additionally, the ceremony honored three Emirati families with the Distinguished Emirati Family Award, recognizing their contributions to the educational landscape.

The Khalifa International Award for Early Learning was another highlight, with four winners announced in this category for their exceptional projects and research papers. The awards also celebrated 26 male and female winners from the UAE and 11 from the Arab world across various educational fields.
Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary-General of the Khalifa Award for Education, praised Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak's awarding, emphasizing her pivotal role in promoting education and knowledge. Al-Afifi also acknowledged the significant contributions from both local and international participants, especially in early childhood education.
The awards spanned multiple categories including General Education, Institutional Education Performance, People of Determination, and Innovative Teacher categories. In General Education, teachers from both the UAE and Arab nations were recognized for their excellence. The Institutional Education Performance category highlighted two schools in the UAE for their outstanding achievements.
Special attention was given to Dubai Police's Public General Department of Penal and Correctional Institutions for its educational training program. In addition to these categories, awards were also given in Higher Education, Innovative Educational Projects and Programs, Educational Research, and Educational Authorship for children.
The Khalifa International Award for Early Learning specifically acknowledged significant research and studies in early learning, as well as innovative programs, curricula, and teaching methodologies that have made a substantial impact on early childhood education.
