Empowering Kosovo's Women: Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Foundation Inaugurated
The inauguration of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Women's Foundation marked a significant milestone in Pristina, Kosovo, underlining the enduring humanitarian efforts of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. Esteemed attendees included Dr. Vjosa Osmani, President of Kosovo, and Mohamed Haji Al Khouri, Director-General of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation. This initiative reflects Sheikha Fatima's commitment to empowering women and enhancing their economic and societal roles.
During the event, Dr. Osmani expressed profound gratitude towards the UAE and its leaders for their support, emphasizing the value of the cooperation between Kosovo and the UAE, particularly in advancing women's issues. The establishment of this foundation is seen as a pivotal step in strengthening bilateral relations and promoting mutual interests.

Dr. Maitha Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, highlighted the UAE's dedication to supporting humanitarian and developmental programs in Kosovo. She underscored Sheikha Fatima's unwavering support for women in Kosovo, aiming to boost their skills and societal contributions through various training courses.
The foundation is set to offer training programs spanning from 3 to 6 months in areas such as language learning, information systems, knitting, among others. It also seeks to serve as a business incubator for aspiring female entrepreneurs, with an anticipated 140 women benefiting from these courses annually.
This initiative not only aims to foster skill development among women but also to create opportunities for them to contribute significantly to their families and society. The collaboration between the UAE and Kosovo through this foundation is a testament to the shared vision of empowering women and fostering sustainable development.
