Sheikh Zayed Festival Marks Global Achievement With Guinness World Records

The Sheikh Zayed Festival 2023-2024 has achieved a monumental feat by being officially recognized in the latest edition of the Guinness Book of World Records. This recognition comes as a result of the festival's success in breaking numerous records during its events and activities, marking it as the largest edition in the festival's history. Held in the Al Wathba area of Abu Dhabi, the festival spanned 114 consecutive days, from 17th November 2023 to 9th March 2024, showcasing a plethora of public events and major international shows.

Over the last three years, the Sheikh Zayed Festival has shattered 10 Guinness World Records, a testament to its global significance and appeal as a platform for cultural and civilizational exchange, as well as a leading entertainment destination. A special ceremony was held at the festival to commemorate these record-breaking achievements, with one of the highlights being the documentation of the largest aerial logo by the Sheikh Zayed Festival on the 4th page of the Guinness Book of World Records.

Representatives from Guinness praised the festival for its major events and activities, as well as the extensive participation from around the globe through international cultural pavilions. These pavilions reflect the UAE's humanitarian message of tolerance, love, and peace, uniting people from different cultures in an entertaining atmosphere.

The festival welcomed 2024 by setting four new Guinness World Records. Three records were broken during a 40-minute fireworks display in terms of quantity, time, and formation. The fourth record featured over 5,000 drones creating spectacular formations in the Al Wathba skies, achieving the record for the largest aerial logo.

The Guinness Book of World Records, published annually since 1955 by Guinness World Records, is a globally recognized reference book that documents known records worldwide. It stands as the best-selling book series of all time and serves as one of the most accurate sources for record information.

The Sheikh Zayed Festival is renowned for its focus on UAE heritage and its role in fostering dialogue and cultural exchange.
