Sheikh Zayed Festival Announces Exciting New Year’s Eve 2025 Celebrations With Fireworks And Drones
The Supreme Organising Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba has revealed plans for New Year's Eve 2025. The event promises an hour-long spectacle of fireworks, drones, and light shows. These performances aim to achieve six new Guinness World Records.
Starting at 6:00 pm, fireworks will launch hourly until midnight. At midnight, a grand display will last over 53 minutes, setting records for duration and creativity. Before this, at 11:40 p.m., 6,000 drones will perform for 20 minutes. This includes a record-breaking image formed by 3,000 drones and a "HAPPY NEW YEAR" message.
The Emirates Fountain stage will feature a stunning laser and light show using 4,000 nozzles. Eighty advanced laser systems will light up Al Wathba's skyline with music-synced colours. Additionally, the festival will release over 100,000 balloons into the sky.
Traditional bands will perform from 2:00 pm in various festival areas like the Heritage Village Square and the Department of Culture and Tourism Pavilion. Performances include Al Ayala, Al Razfa, and Al Naddba with 600 performers providing vibrant experiences throughout the day.
Country pavilions will host New Year celebrations with carnivals and folkloric performances in festival squares. Family-friendly activities are planned, including events at the Kids' Theater and a 130-game amusement park catering to all ages.
The festival's atmosphere will be enhanced by 3,000 square metres of digital screens. The organising committee has announced that gates open at 2:00 p.m., urging visitors to book tickets in advance as entry closes once capacity is reached.
Visitor Information
For those unable to enter due to capacity limits, large outdoor screens will broadcast the New Year's celebrations live. This ensures everyone can enjoy the festivities even if they can't be inside the venue.
