Sheikh Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Kickstarts Inaugural Abu Dhabi Mobility Week

H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, recently inaugurated the inaugural Abu Dhabi Mobility Week. This event, under the patronage of His Highness and organized by the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), aims to redefine the future of transportation within the emirate. Running until 1st May, it has attracted key figures from the transport sector, including ministers and top executives from various sectors.

The opening gala saw the attendance of strategic partners such as the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Abu Dhabi Airports, and Etihad Airways among others. A highlight of the event was His Highness's tour of DRIFTx, a leading smart and autonomous mobility event showcasing the latest industry innovations. This event is a key part of Abu Dhabi Mobility Week, taking place on 25 and 26 April 2024.

During this week, the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) unveiled the new brand identity for Abu Dhabi Mobility (AD Mobility), aligning with Abu Dhabi's vision to become one of the world's most advanced cities. The new brand symbolizes a commitment to developing a safe, smart, sustainable, and competitive mobility network across the emirate.

Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of DMT, expressed pride in introducing AD Mobility's new brand identity, emphasizing its role in transforming urban living in Abu Dhabi. The brand features a wheel symbol at its core, representing ease of connectivity across various transport modes. Its color scheme highlights stability, reliability, and safety in urban mobility.

Abdulla Al Marzouqi, Director-General of ITC, commented on the journey towards realizing AD Mobility's vision. He highlighted the commitment to developing an intelligent transport sector that enhances connectivity and quality of life for residents.

Abu Dhabi Mobility Week will also host several events such as the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL) on 27th April and Mobility Live ME from 29th April to 1st May. These events aim to set a benchmark for future mobility events.
