Muhammad Hassan Khalaf, Director General of SBA, expressed gratitude to Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for initiating heart and eye campaigns in Egypt. He commended the leadership's support in enhancing charitable contributions, improving living standards, and providing global healthcare.

Khalaf acknowledged the cooperation of Sharjah Charity International in supporting these campaigns. He appreciated their efforts in reviewing medical cases through the radio programme "The Sent Wind" and collecting donations to provide medical assistance to those in need.

Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of Sharjah Charity International (SCI), expressed satisfaction with launching campaigns in Aswan Governorate. These initiatives are part of SCI's ongoing efforts that have facilitated over 130 heart surgeries for children across Asia and Africa.

Extending Humanitarian Aid

Bin Khadim highlighted that these campaigns receive sponsorship from SBA and generous philanthropists. Their goal is to continue providing medical treatment to children with heart diseases and individuals with eye conditions in Aswan and surrounding areas. SCI will supervise all surgical procedures at Magdi Yacoub Heart Centre or Aswan University Hospital.

He emphasised the friendly efforts in these campaigns, showcasing UAE's commitment to helping people globally. He thanked donors for their support, which is crucial for fulfilling their humanitarian mission. He also extended appreciation to SBA for their significant contribution to these health projects that enhance beneficiaries' quality of life.

New Campaigns and Initiatives

A new campaign launched by SBA aims to collect donations from individuals. This initiative seeks to offer essential care and treatment to around 500 individuals who lack financial means for treating eye diseases, visual impairments, and undergoing cataract surgeries.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed recently unveiled the "Adopt a Library" initiative at Dr. Magdi Yacoub Heart Centre and Aswan University Hospital during his visit. This project is part of efforts by the "Kalimat Foundation" to bring compact libraries filled with 100 Arabic books each to children, covering various topics suitable for different age groups.

Accompanying Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed during his visit were: Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of SCI; Muhammad Hassan Khalaf; Tariq Saeed Allay; Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri; Salem Ali Al Ghaithi; Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim; several directors of SBA channels; and officials from Egypt's health sector.

Muhammad Hassan Khalaf stressed that SBA’s mission extends beyond media roles to include humanitarian aspects like promoting values of goodness, love, and social solidarity. Visits and interactions with treated patients motivate charity programme departments to provide more health assistance globally.

The launch of these campaigns underscores the importance of humanitarian aid in strengthening connections among individuals worldwide. The support from wise leadership plays a vital role in enhancing charitable contributions aimed at improving healthcare standards globally.
