Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Commemorates a Decade of Humanitarian Success with TBHF Supporters

In a significant gathering at Al Seef Palace in Sharjah, H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Humanitarian Envoy for The Big Heart Foundation (TBHF), convened with the foundation's steadfast supporters and donors. This meeting, held on Thursday, was a testament to the unwavering commitment of these individuals and entities towards TBHF's mission since its inception.

During the discussions, Sheikh Sultan highlighted the instrumental role of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and his wife, H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of TBHF. Their guidance has been pivotal in embedding the principles of humanitarian work within the foundation, evolving its methodologies, and ensuring its sustained impact. The continuous backing for TBHF's initiatives has been crucial in supporting victims of conflicts, disasters, and poverty.

The Deputy Ruler underscored the foundation's efforts in integrating affected individuals into host communities through diverse programmes. These initiatives focus on enhancing healthcare systems, education, and providing empowerment and training on essential life and work skills. Sheikh Sultan stressed that TBHF's work has enabled millions to overcome despair and isolation, laying the groundwork for sustainable community upliftment.

Sheikh Sultan expressed his pride in being part of TBHF's journey as a member and humanitarian envoy. He emphasized that all contributions directly benefit those in need, with administrative expenses covered by the government to maximize aid delivery worldwide.

Mariam Al Hammadi, Director-General of TBHF, expressed her gratitude towards every supporter and partner of the foundation. Their unwavering support has propelled TBHF to the forefront of global humanitarian efforts. The meeting also marked TBHF’s 10th anniversary, celebrating its evolution from a humanitarian campaign to an independent global organisation with a significant impact across dozens of countries.

Commemorative shields were presented by the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah to supporting entities and contributors as a token of appreciation for their efforts. The attendees expressed their gratitude towards Sheikh Sultan for acknowledging their support and commended the foundation's significant contributions to improving lives worldwide.

The event was attended by notable figures including Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Finance Department; Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of Ruler’s Office; Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Charity Association; Sheikh Majid bin Faisal Al Qasimi, First Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), along with representatives from supporting entities and companies of The Big Heart Foundation.
