Sheikh Rashid: Milestones And Images In The Arab Press Book Highlights UAE's Founding Father's Legacy

The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC) and the Mohammed bin Rashid Library have released a book titled "Sheikh Rashid: Milestones and Images in the Arab Press." This publication commemorates the anniversary of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum's passing. The launch included a panel discussion with notable figures such as Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Saeed Hamdan Al Tunaiji, Ali Obaid Alhameli, and Mohammed Abdulla Almansoori.

Mohammed Ahmad Al Murr, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation, expressed the importance of this book. He stated, "The publishing of the Sheikh Rashid: Milestones and Images in the Arab Press book today represents a significant step in documenting the UAE's history and highlighting the role of the founding fathers in establishing our nation and steering it towards success. The late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum was a pivotal figure whose vision and wisdom laid the groundwork for the development and stability of Dubai and the UAE."

Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of ALC, highlighted that this book is a major achievement in documenting UAE's history. He remarked on Sheikh Rashid's contributions to building a modern state. Dr. Tamim said, "This book is an invitation to reflect on the values and principles that have shaped the identity of the UAE." The book is part of ALC’s "Pioneers of the Union" series.

This series aims to provide researchers with reliable references on historical figures. It offers role models for facing challenges while instilling pride in national values. The series also fosters a sense of belonging among new generations by reinforcing pride in foundational values.

Written by Emirati author Mohammed Al Mansouri, this 149-page book delves into Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum’s influence in Arab media. It documents his strategic thinking and wise policies during that era. The book also highlights how these founding fathers built a nation that stands as a unique model for unity globally.

The publication serves as an invitation for young people to explore these leaders' legacies. It aims to enhance their understanding of how these figures contributed to today’s successes.
