Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Opens ‘World Governments As Incubator For Tolerance’ Event
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE's Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, recently underscored the critical role of the AIM Congress 2024 in fostering innovative solutions and knowledge sharing to address global and regional challenges. During the launch of the "World Governments as Incubator for Tolerance" conference, he emphasized the necessity for collaboration among intellectuals and practitioners to lead in the transformation efforts of communities worldwide. This event, which is a part of the AIM Congress held in Abu Dhabi, was themed around the impact of tolerance and coexistence on sustainable economic growth.
The conference saw significant international participation, with discussions led by Miguel Medina, Minister of Investment of Honduras; María Consuelo García León, Minister of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries of Ecuador; Harris Whitbeck, Minister of Tourism of Guatemala; and Elmedin Konaković, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The session was also attended by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and Afraa Al Sabery, Director-General of the Ministry of Tolerance.
On this occasion, Sheikh Nahyan highlighted the UAE's journey towards progress under the visionary leadership of its founders and current President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He praised Sheikh Zayed's foresight and wisdom in laying down a foundation for the nation's prosperity through community involvement and strategic planning. Sheikh Nahyan also lauded President Mohamed bin Zayed's dedication to enhancing human dignity, peace, tolerance, and coexistence, which positions the UAE as a global model in these areas.
Furthermore, Sheikh Nahyan witnessed the signing of memoranda of understanding between the UAE and Austria, Honduras, and Ecuador. These agreements are aimed at promoting tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and mutual cooperation in intercultural and interfaith dialogue. The signings mark a significant step towards strengthening international relationships based on shared values.
The "World Governments as Incubator for Tolerance" conference not only served as a platform for discussing the role of tolerance in economic growth but also reinforced the UAE's commitment to fostering global partnerships for a better world.
