With a three-year term effective immediately, these board members are tasked with overseeing the management and strategic direction of the Digital School. Their roles are pivotal in ensuring that the school's operations align with its bylaws and overarching mission to provide quality digital education.

The Digital School was launched in November 2020 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as a strategic educational initiative. Its primary goal is to offer digital learning opportunities to students in remote and developing areas across the globe. Leveraging advanced technologies, learning science, and artificial intelligence, the initiative aims to deliver a novel educational experience to those most in need.

Targeting students in refugee camps and marginalized communities, the Digital School is committed to providing an inclusive and dynamic digital education that aligns with national and global educational standards. Since its inception, it has made significant strides in expanding its reach. To date, over 160,000 students have enrolled in its programs across more than 13 countries. Furthermore, it has successfully trained over 2,500 digital teachers and offers educational content in four languages: Arabic, English, French, and Spanish.

This reconstitution of the Board of Directors marks a new chapter for the Digital School as it continues to strive towards empowering students globally with high-quality digital education. With its ambitious goals and innovative approach to learning, the initiative is set to make a lasting impact on the educational landscape for students in underserved regions.
