Sheikh Mohammed Discusses Dubai's Future At Weekly Majlis With Leaders

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, met with local dignitaries, senior officials, business leaders, and investors at his weekly Majlis at the Union House in Dubai. The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the significance of collaboration within society to advance the UAE's comprehensive development and strengthen its leadership in various fields. He stressed the importance of enhancing partnerships between public and private sectors to achieve shared goals for a prosperous future.

During the gathering, Sheikh Mohammed engaged in discussions with attendees about Dubai's sustainable development journey. The conversation focused on the vital role of cooperation between government and private sectors in realising the ambitious visions for both the UAE and Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasised that Dubai is swiftly moving towards achieving the ambitious targets set by the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33. These goals include positioning Dubai among the top three global economic cities and boosting its business sector's competitiveness. Investing in advanced infrastructure is key to maintaining Dubai's status as a premier destination for tourism, investment, and business.

He stated, "Our goal is to consolidate Dubai’s position as a unique model of economic prosperity and innovation, a leading destination for investment and a key player in the digital economy." He added that this vision relies on strong public-private sector partnerships to ensure sustainable development across all sectors.

Sheikh Mohammed reiterated his commitment to empowering the private sector by fostering an attractive business environment and supporting innovative projects. This approach aims to position Dubai as a global leader in technology and innovation.

The meeting also saw attendance from other notable figures including H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai; H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority; H.H. Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated; along with several Sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials.

Lecture on Artificial Intelligence

On the sidelines of the Majlis, attendees participated in a lecture by Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence. The lecture titled "The UAE and Artificial Intelligence: A Journey Towards the Centenary" explored technology's evolution from mid-twentieth century AI origins to its transformative impact today.

Al Olama discussed how both UAE and Dubai have adopted rapid action plans to keep pace with technological advancements. He highlighted the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031 which aims to make UAE a global leader in AI by 2031.

The attendees expressed their admiration for Sheikh Mohammed’s vision which continues to inspire growth and development. They committed themselves to exploring opportunities that align with advancing development goals.
