UAE Racing Season 2024-2025 Fixtures Announced By Sheikh Mansour
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the Emirates Racing Authority (ERA), has approved the official fixture list for the UAE racing season 2024-2025. He stated, "Today, we are launching an exceptional racing programme for the 2024-2025 season, marking a significant advancement in the world of horse racing and solidifying the UAE’s position as a premier global destination for this historic sport."
The new programme includes many prestigious races with wide participation from local and international horses, both crossbred and purebred. These events will be held on modern international tracks in the country, creating a highly competitive atmosphere. The UAE 2024-2025 racing campaign includes a total of 64 meetings, an increase of three races over the previous season.

Abu Dhabi Racecourse will host the opening fixture on Saturday, 26th October, followed by Sharjah Longines Racecourse on Sunday, 27th October. Al Ain Racecourse will open its doors for the first time on Friday, 1st November, and Jebel Ali Racecourse action will start on Saturday, 2nd November. The opening night of Meydan Racecourse is scheduled for Friday, 8th November.
Racing in Abu Dhabi features notable events such as the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Jewel Crown for Purebred Arabians and the UAE President's Cup. The Dubai Racing Club will witness the 29th start of the Dubai World Cup at Meydan Racecourse. This event will be held for the first time in April and will include two additional evenings to extend the Dubai Racing Carnival.
Al Ain Racecourse will host Al Ain Mile race day as well as the Marathon Series. Jebel Ali's fixtures include Jebel Ali Mile, Jebel Ali Sprint, and Jebel Ali Stakes. Sharjah Racecourse highlights include His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah Cup at the concluding meeting, GCC Cup, Crown Prince of Sharjah Cup, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup (1st leg of Emirates Sprint Series).
Global Participation
His Highness Sheikh Mansour emphasised that this season is designed to attract prominent horses, trainers, and riders from around the globe. He said it would provide a unique and thrilling experience for horse racing fans and enthusiasts. His Highness also noted that new initiatives and events from clubs aim to enhance horse racing's status in the country.
The UAE racing season aims to expand participation and attract more global partnerships. His Highness commended Sheikh Rashed bin Dalmook Al Maktoum's spirited efforts along with those of Board Members, racing clubs, racecourses in the UAE, and ERA teams for their support in improving this sport.
