Sheikh Mansour's Agri-Excellence Award Honours Sustainable Agriculture Champions
The Organising Committee of the Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award recently celebrated the achievements of participants in the second edition of its Awareness and Promotion Competition. This event, which spanned six months, saw a diverse group of media institutions, individuals, influencers, and content creators competing to produce innovative content that underscores the significance of sustainable agriculture, animal wealth development, and food security within the UAE.
The competition attracted broad participation from various sectors, including media organizations and individuals passionate about agriculture. A total prize pool of AED200,000 was distributed across winners in all categories. The initiative seeks to enrich societal knowledge about the UAE's agricultural and livestock wealth, spotlighting the pivotal role local influencers play in promoting agricultural sustainability.

Dr. Mariam Hareb Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director General of Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) for Operational Affairs and Chairman of the Organising Committee, extended her congratulations to the winners. She emphasized the competition's reflection of heightened awareness towards sustainable agriculture's plant and animal components and food security. Dr. Al Suwaidi also acknowledged the participants' efforts in fostering awareness on these critical issues.
She further stated that the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award is designed to foster innovation within the agricultural sector, support farmers and livestock breeders, and bolster food security across the country. ADAFSA is committed to continuing its support for the agricultural sector through various events, programmes, and initiatives aimed at promoting innovation.
Badr Hassan Al Shehhi, Chairman of the Award's Awareness and Promotion Competition Jury, expressed gratitude towards all participants for their contributions to raising awareness about sustainable agriculture and food security. He highlighted the media's integral role as a partner in achieving the Award's objectives by disseminating information about sustainable agricultural practices and promoting the Award itself.
