Sheikh Khaled Explores Tradition And Innovation At Abu Dhabi's Premier Hunting And Equestrian Event
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, recently visited the 21st Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX). Organised by the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the event is being held at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi until 8th September 2024.
The exhibition, themed "Embracing the Future, Honouring the Past," showcases innovations in equestrianism, falconry, hunting, shooting, camping, and marine sports. These advancements aim to enhance environmental sustainability in traditional practices. Sheikh Khaled toured exhibitor pavilions and displays to review these innovations.
Sheikh Khaled praised exhibitors for their efforts in promoting UAE’s traditional sporting activities and customs. He emphasised the importance of fostering national identity and educating youth about preserving Emirati traditions. "The annual event is an important bridge that connects present and future generations with the past," he noted.
The 21st ADIHEX features participation from over 1,400 exhibitors and brands representing 65 countries. The event offers a platform to explore innovations across 11 hunting and equestrian-related sectors. Visitors can also enjoy live performances and interactive heritage displays.
During his visit, Sheikh Khaled was accompanied by his children as well as Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Other notable attendees included Major General Staff Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Majid Ali Al Mansouri, and Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri.
