Sheikh Khaled Marks Graduation Of Joint Command And Staff College's 33rd Course

H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, attended the graduation ceremony for the 33rd joint course of the Joint Command and Staff College in Abu Dhabi. His Highness congratulated the graduates, encouraging them to use their skills and academic knowledge to enhance preparedness and competency in their respective units.

H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed the UAE leadership’s commitment to preparing national leaders in military and security roles. He praised the UAE Armed Forces for promoting excellence and leadership in training commanders and equipping units with necessary competencies to meet current and future challenges.

The ceremony began with the UAE national anthem, followed by verses from the Holy Quran. Staff Brigadier General Saeed Salmeen Al Alawi, Commandant of the Joint Command and Staff College, welcomed H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other guests. He highlighted the college’s significant contributions since its establishment by a decree from the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Staff Brigadier General Al Alawi emphasised that the college's strategy is derived from a clear national vision, strategic objectives, Ministry of Defence strategies, and the UAE’s 10 Principles for the Next 50 Years. These principles support the outcomes of this course, aiming to position the college as a leading institution regionally and globally.

He also praised His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s wise vision, which has enabled the UAE to achieve various accomplishments across all fields. The college focuses on adopting high standards of evaluation to meet demands in digital transformation, e-learning, scientific research, and AI technologies.

Graduation Ceremony Highlights

During the ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan honoured outstanding officers and graduates from friendly nations. He presented awards and certificates to graduates while group photos were taken with His Highness. Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, accompanied him along with senior officers from the Ministry of Defence.

The Commandant concluded his speech by praying for God’s protection over the UAE under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership. He extended gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his patronage of the ceremony.

His Highness also praised the role of Joint Command and Staff College in preparing officers for leading positions within armed forces by adopting modern military curricula and focusing on research and strategic analysis. This approach contributes to building future military capabilities essential for peacekeeping and humanitarian aid operations during crises.

The event underscored how these operations require special coordination among relevant military units including operational, logistical, and service support organisations.

The college's mission remains guided by leadership's vision in preparing military commanders dedicated to protecting national interests.
