Sheikh Abdullah Sets Up Boards For Sharjah Marine And Camel Racing Clubs

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, issued Administrative Resolution No. (18) of 2024 on Tuesday, 13th August, 2024. This resolution pertains to the formation of the Board of Directors for the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club (SIMSC).

The new Board of Directors for the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club will be led by Khalid Jassim Saif Al Midfaa as Chairman. The board members include Ahmed Obaid Yousef Al Qaseer, Humaid Khalfan Saeed Al Kindi, Humaid Ali Humaid Al Muhairi, Shaima Rashid Sultan bin Taliah, Tariq Saeed Alai Al Naqbi, Talib Ali Salem Al Dhahouri, Abdullah Sulaiman Al Kabouri Al Naqbi, and Fahad Ahmed Abdullah Al Khamiri.

The Council is tasked with distributing administrative roles among its members during its first meeting. Additionally, a Vice President will be elected either by consensus or through a direct secret ballot.

The membership term for the Council is set at four years. This term can be renewed for subsequent terms starting from the date this resolution was issued. The Council will continue its duties even after its term expires until a new Board is formed or the current one is renewed.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem also issued another administrative decision concerning the Sharjah Camel Racing Club's Board of Directors.

Sharjah Camel Racing Club Board

The newly formed Board of Directors for the Sharjah Camel Racing Club will be chaired by Abdullah Mohammed bin Howaiden Al Ketbi. The board members are Khalid Matar Obaid Al Tunaiji, Khalifa Mohammed Ali Al Ketbi, Salem Rashid Muhyan Al Ketbi, Salem Muhair Saeed Al Ketbi, Ali Mohammed Balrasheed Al Ketbi, Mohammed Khamis Balsoub Al Ketbi, Mohammed Obaid Hamed Al Tunaiji, and Mohammed Awad Khasouni Al Ketbi.

Similar to SIMSC's board structure, this BoD will allocate administrative positions among its members in their initial meeting. A Vice President will also be chosen either by consensus or through a direct secret ballot.

Implementation and Publication

This resolution takes effect from its issuance date and mandates relevant authorities to implement it within their respective capacities. It will also be published in the Official Gazette.

The membership duration for this BoD is four years and can be renewed for additional terms starting from the decision's issuance date. The BoD will continue its responsibilities until a new board is established or the existing one is restructured.
