Sharjah Summer Promotions 2024 Concludes With Record Sales Over AED 700 Million
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) wrapped up the 2024 Sharjah Summer Promotions with a grand celebration at Sahara Centre. This event marked the end of 63 days filled with vibrant activities, organised in collaboration with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA). The festival, themed "Get set for a summer brimming with discounts and adventures," attracted many visitors and shoppers, generating over AED 700 million in revenue.
HE Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, highlighted the significance of the Sharjah Summer Promotions festival in their annual calendar. He noted that it contributes to strategic goals benefiting both the emirate’s economy and community. These promotions attract visitors and residents, driving economic growth across Sharjah.

The 21st edition saw major shopping malls and retail outlets across Sharjah offering significant discounts on local and international brands. The "Back to School" Campaign was particularly notable, providing up to 80 percent off on school supplies. This campaign drew considerable attention from parents throughout the emirate.
Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of Economic Relations and Marketing at SCCI and General Coordinator of Sharjah Summer Promotions, remarked that this year’s festival revitalised retail and commercial activity within the emirate. The event led to a marked increase in sales, showcasing its positive impact on the local economy.
Over the 63-day period, the festival featured a packed schedule of 70 entertainment activities. These included heritage performances and artistic shows, offering visitors a unique shopping experience across various commercial markets and tourist attractions in Sharjah.
The blend of entertainment, discounts, and cultural engagement provided shoppers and families with a unique experience. Workshops, competitions, and interactive events tailored for children created a dynamic environment catering to all age groups.
Grand Raffle Draw
The highlight of the closing ceremony was the grand raffle draw where Ali Salah Mahdi from Iraq won a luxury car. The ceremony also included distributing valuable gifts to many shoppers as part of an AED 3 million prize pool awarded to over 200 winners. Prizes included gold bars, shopping vouchers, and diverse hotel packages.
Apart from special deals and promotional discounts on renowned brands, consumers enjoyed an exceptional shopping season with competitive pricing. This incentivised higher spending through extensive offerings available throughout the festival.
Raffles Across Malls
The 2024 edition also featured several raffles held across different shopping malls. These events drew considerable crowds, demonstrating the strong appeal of Sharjah’s markets. The festive atmosphere attracted both residents and visitors who enjoyed family-friendly activities.
This year's Sharjah Summer Promotions successfully showcased Sharjah as a premier shopping destination in the region. It solidified its status by generating substantial revenues for various economic sectors while providing an engaging experience for all attendees.
