H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired a meeting at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office. The SEC discussed various governmental topics, focusing on monitoring the performance of departments and reviewing development projects across Sharjah.
The SEC reviewed a presentation on establishing an integrated platform to link data related to the human resources system in Sharjah. This initiative aims to support decision-making, facilitate service provision, and monitor performance by coordinating with all relevant parties.
The general plan for the Sharjah Sports City project was reviewed by the SEC. Approved by H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah, this project aims to serve athletes across the Emirate. The sports city will feature multiple sports facilities and a main stand in its centre, designed with environmental sustainability in mind.
The unique location and diverse facilities of the sports city will enable athletes to engage in various sports activities. This is expected to positively impact the sports movement and its development within Sharjah.
The SEC also focused on economic development in the Central Region, reviewing growth indicators and commercial activities that benefit the area. Several recommendations were adopted to drive economic growth and achieve positive regional impacts.
A presentation on the promotions system within Sharjah government departments was also reviewed. This system rewards employees for distinguished performance, enhancing productivity and institutional performance while fostering job loyalty.

Dr. Ahmed Saeed Khamis Al Mazrouei was promoted to Director of Kalba Municipality under the Special Jobs System in Sharjah Government.
During the first half of this year, 636 employees benefited from various types of promotions under this system. These promotions serve as incentives for higher productivity and institutional performance, recognising employee efforts and enhancing job loyalty.
