Sharjah Sports Channel Enhances Global Partnerships At Sportel Monaco 2024 Exhibition
Sharjah Sports Channel, under the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, took part in the Sportel Monaco 2024 exhibition from October 28 to 30. The event, held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo, saw over 1,500 executives attending. Mohamed Majid Al-Suwaidi and Abdul Rahim Al-Hammadi represented the channel, engaging with global company representatives to establish new partnerships.
Mohamed Majid Al-Suwaidi highlighted the importance of this event as a major gathering for decision-makers in sports media worldwide. He pointed out that this year's exhibition tackled pressing issues like the integration of sports with generative artificial intelligence. Workshops were dedicated to enhancing content, engaging fans, and improving operational efficiency.

The participation of Sharjah Sports Channel aimed to strengthen collaborations with international media and sports organisations. Al-Suwaidi expressed pride in their involvement, focusing on exploring advanced technologies and trends. The 2024 Sportel edition featured prominent figures from the sports industry. La Liga President Javier Tebas addressed ongoing challenges related to digital piracy. Gerard Piqué, founder of Cosmos Kings and former football star, was also present. Experts from Olympic broadcasting, European broadcasting, and various sports like Formula 1, cricket, and basketball shared insights on broadcasting trends and revenue generation.
