Sharjah To Showcase Its Rich Heritage And Tourism Initiatives At WTM London 2025

The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) is gearing up for its 22nd appearance at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025. This significant event in the travel and tourism industry will take place from 4th to 6th November 2025 in London. The exhibition will feature over 4,000 exhibitors from more than 180 countries and is anticipated to draw over 46,000 visitors globally.

Sharjah's pavilion will showcase the emirate’s cultural richness and tourism initiatives. A delegation of 19 public and private entities will represent Sharjah. Among the highlights is Al Faya, recently recognised by UNESCO for its archaeological importance as one of the oldest records of human habitation in desert environments, dating back over 200,000 years.

Sharjah Showcases Heritage at WTM London

The pavilion will also spotlight Sharjah’s eco-tourism attractions. These include the Wasit Wetland Reserve, home to rare bird species; Kalba Mangrove Reserve, where visitors can explore mangrove forests via wooden pathways; and Sir Bu Nair Island, known for its rich marine biodiversity. These sites underline Sharjah's commitment to sustainable tourism.

Sharjah aims to enhance strategic partnerships within the global travel sector at WTM 2025. Establishing new cooperation channels with major European markets is a priority. This initiative aligns with Sharjah’s tourism strategy to adapt to global trends, offering culturally rich and sustainable travel experiences that meet worldwide traveller expectations.

The delegation includes key government and private organisations such as the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Sharjah Museums Authority, and Sharjah International Airport Authority. Other participants are the Environment and Protected Areas Authority, Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Sharjah Sports Council, and Sharjah Old Cars Club.

Additional members include Sharjah Asset Management, Expo Centre Sharjah, Arada Real Estate, and Sharjah Airport Travel Agency (SATA). A selection of prominent hotels and resorts across the emirate will also be part of this delegation. Their participation underscores a collective effort to promote Sharjah’s diverse offerings.

This participation supports SCTDA's goal of strengthening ties within the global travel community while showcasing Sharjah's unique cultural heritage. By engaging with international partners at WTM London 2025, SCTDA seeks to position Sharjah as a leading destination for travellers seeking authentic experiences.
