Sharjah Safari Run Crowns New Champions In Thrilling Third Edition Of The Event
The third edition of the "Sharjah Safari Run" was successfully organised by the Sharjah Sports Council, continuing its tradition of success. This event brought joy to the winners and attracted over 500 participants, both men and women, who competed enthusiastically across various categories for top podium positions.
All participants were awarded medals featuring the race route and event name in Arabic and English. The ribbons displayed logos of supporting and participating organisations, adding a special touch to the awards. The event's atmosphere was vibrant, with strong competition enhancing the experience for running enthusiasts.

In the 7.8 km race, Ahmed Al Naqbi secured first place in the Citizens – Men category, followed by Hassan Al Marzouqi and Mohammed Ali. In the Citizens – Women category, Noora Sabah Khalaf claimed victory, with Nouf Al Hajeri and Amal Al Shehi taking second and third places respectively.
The Open category for men saw Mousa Aqeel finishing first, Rashid Amo second, and Mathieu Gommery third. For women in this category, Fidélia Masango took first place, Anita Nusura came second, and Maria Herter finished third.
The 6.4 km race had Ahmed Abdulaziz leading the Citizens – Men category, followed by Obaid Al Hammoudi and Abdullah Al Sreidi. Mira Al Naqbi topped the Citizens – Women category with Dana Mohammed and Amal Al Kaabi following her lead.
Victor Courrier won first place in the Open category – Men, with Abdullah Basmed second and Peter Kitavi third. Nancy Owiti led the Open category – Women, while Dima Daniel and Maria Erdineva secured second and third places respectively.
Junior Race Highlights
The 3.1 km race saw Mohammed Ahmed Al Naqbi winning in Citizens – Men, followed by Ahmed Al Balushi and Ahmed Al Maamari. In Citizens – Women, Alghala Al Shehi took first place with Manal Hussein second and Alyaa Al Zarouni third.
Mohammed Hajjo emerged victorious in the Open category – Men with Jeffrey Kiblagat second and Hamza Ocean third. The Junior 1.1 km race had Hameed Al Hamadi winning among Boys, followed by Khalifa Al Sharqi and Mohammed Ahmed.
Among Girls in the Junior race, Shawq Ahmed claimed first place while Zainab Nabil took second place followed by Reem Al Aidroos in third position.
Event Success Acknowledged
Bakhit Saeed Al Qurs, Director of Sports and Community Events Management, praised this edition's success. He highlighted that participant engagement created a fantastic atmosphere. The strong competition across categories added excitement to this edition for running enthusiasts.
