The governance and administrative structure of the University of Al Dhaid has been carefully planned, with a law soon to be issued that will outline its colleges, departments, administration, and affairs. The Board of Trustees has been established, featuring members from various educational and governmental institutions, ensuring a diverse and experienced oversight body.

Dr. Aisha Ahmed Mohammed Abu Shlaibi has been appointed as the Chancellor of the University, bringing her expertise to the forefront of this ambitious project. Additionally, Dr. Melissa Fitzgerald will take on the role of Dean of the College of Agriculture. The College itself is designed to offer interconnected departments that cover a wide range of specializations within agriculture.

One of the university's core objectives is to equip students with comprehensive hands-on experience in their field of study. This will be achieved through practical learning opportunities in classrooms situated within established projects, direct interaction with engineers and specialists on farms, and activities related to the cultivation and marketing of agricultural produce. Such an immersive educational model is expected to prepare students effectively for their future careers in agriculture and related fields.

The establishment of the University of Al Dhaid represents a forward-thinking approach to education in Sharjah, focusing on sectors that are vital for sustainable development and food security. With its comprehensive facilities and emphasis on practical learning, the university is set to become a key player in shaping the future professionals in agriculture and environmental sciences.
