His Highness received a briefing on the cemetery's layout and facilities. The design aims to facilitate burial procedures while ensuring easy access for families and mourners. The mortuary building was also part of his visit. It is designed with high standards to honour the deceased, featuring separate washing areas for men and women equipped with modern systems for efficient resource use.

A commemorative plaque was unveiled by His Highness to mark the opening of Sayyida Khadija Mosque. The mosque is built in a Fatimid architectural style combined with modern elements. It covers an area of 49,383 square metres and can accommodate 1,400 men in its main prayer hall, 1,325 worshippers in its outer portico, and 140 women in a designated prayer area.

The mosque includes various facilities such as a library, mortuary building, water stations, ablution areas, restrooms, parking for 592 vehicles, and residences for both the imam and muezzin. Its architectural features include a central dome with a diameter of 10 meters and two smaller domes measuring 4.5 metres each. Two minarets rise to a height of 40 metres.

The construction adheres to modern environmental standards by incorporating energy- and water-saving technologies. During the event, attendees listened to a sermon delivered by Sheikh Dr Salem Al-Doubi from Sharjah's Department of Islamic Affairs.
