Sharjah Ruler Issues Decree Forming Sharjah Media Council

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree to establish the Sharjah Media Council. The council will be chaired by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

The decree outlines that the council's membership includes several key figures. Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director-General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, is one of the members. Tariq Saeed Allay, Director-General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, is also included.

New Sharjah Media Council Formed

Other notable members are Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Media Council; Rashid Abdullah Al Obed, Director of Sharjah Media City (Shams); and Salem Ali Hamad Al Ghaithi, Director of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.

Additionally, Alia Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, and Hessa Abdullah Al Hammadi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Sharjah Media Council are part of the council.

The decree specifies that each member will serve a term of four years. This term can be extended for additional terms starting from the council's first meeting.

Even after their term expires, members will continue their duties until a new council is appointed. Reappointment is possible for those whose terms have ended.
