Sharjah Ruler H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan Al Qasimi Directs Rapid Development Of Mahdhab Suburb
H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, announced that the upcoming work in Mahdhab Suburb will be double what was previously completed. The suburb contains over 6,000 plots for housing, with 2,000 units already built and handed over.
H.H. highlighted that after delivering the initial 2,000 units, construction on another 2,000 residences commenced immediately. He assured that Mahdhab Suburb will be fully developed, including major roads like the one linking Al Shanouf to Nazwa and the Emirates Road.

The Ruler of Sharjah also mentioned plans for essential services in the area, such as nurseries. He instructed relocating the nursery plot to ensure easy access for residents and ample parking for parents. This move aims to minimise disruption while considering residents' convenience.
Sites for government schools in Mahdhab Suburb are prepared, with ongoing coordination with the Ministry of Education for their development and construction. This ensures educational facilities are ready to serve the community's needs.
H.H. pointed out that most families in Mahdhab Suburb are young and newly established. To accommodate future growth, directives were issued to delay allocating one-third of the plots—around 2,000 plots—so children can request land near their parents when they grow up.
This approach has been successfully implemented in Al Zubair region. It ensures that land remains available for future generations within close proximity to their family homes.
The remarks were made during H.H.’s phone call to the "Direct Line" programme. His vision includes comprehensive development across all aspects of Mahdhab Suburb to support its growing community effectively.
