Sharjah's New Music Centre A Beacon For Cultural Diversity And Intellectual Harmony
In a significant development for Sharjah's cultural landscape, H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, alongside Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, inaugurated the Rubu' Qarn Music Centre. This new establishment is set to play a pivotal role in fostering musical talent and advancing the emirate's national identity through the arts. The centre is poised to offer a comprehensive educational experience, providing students with the opportunity to learn various musical instruments, participate in talent competitions, and perform on stage.
The Rubu' Qarn Music Centre is not just about learning music; it's a gateway to prestigious international certifications from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and Trinity College. During her tour, Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi explored the centre's state-of-the-art facilities, including music classrooms, a ballet studio, and concert halls, all designed to offer an unparalleled educational experience.
Sheikha Jawaher highlighted the importance of music in cultural exchange and identity formation. She emphasized that music serves as a universal language that enhances cultural diversity and fosters intellectual and artistic convergence. This vision is supported by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi's commitment to stimulating artistic creativity within the community.
Furat Qaddouri, Executive Director of the Rubu' Qarn Music Centre, outlined the centre's goals to bolster Sharjah's cultural identity and contribute to a sustainable creative economy. The centre aims to nurture critical thinking and creative skills among its participants, supporting local educational institutions in developing a generation of distinguished researchers and thinkers.
Looking ahead, the Rubu' Qarn Music Centre plans to introduce specialized programmes in music technology and sound engineering. These programmes will enable participants to harness advanced technology for music creation, recording, and production. Additionally, workshops on solo and group vocal performance, as well as craftsmanship in instrument manufacture and repair, are in the pipeline. This initiative reflects Sharjah's ambition to become a global hub for arts and music, attracting talent and fostering creativity.
The Rubu' Qarn Music Centre extends its invitation to families and individuals of all ages, encouraging them to explore their artistic expressions through music. This initiative underscores the role of arts in enhancing cultural communication, mutual respect among communities, and building character and self-confidence among participants.
